Sanisha Packirisamy is an economist at Momentum Investments with more than 10 years of experience in the investments industry.
She is an expert at turning evolving global and local macroeconomic trends into economic insights and assessing their impact on financial markets for a range of internal and external stakeholders.
Packirisamy started her career as an economic analyst in 2008. She then moved to Momentum Asset Management and currently works in the Research and Insights team at Momentum Investments.
In this episode of Business Talk, Packirisamy gives her impressions of the SONA and discusses the outlook for SA’s sovereign rating given what we are expecting from the national budget speech on Wednesday (23 February).
She also gives her take on the benefits and disadvantages of an extension to social grants,. She also talks about fiscal consolidation and debt stabilization in the country and provides insights into the biggest risks to the global economic outlook.
