Discounts on flight ticket prices and holiday packages for Black Friday 2022
With flight prices in South Africa flying high, travellers and prospective holidaymakers may be in the market for some discounts on travel and accommodation.
As with previous years, among the many Black Friday specials taking place today, some great deals on holidays, tours and flights are available if you look.
If you haven’t yet booked a holiday for the weeks or months ahead, amazing deals from Flight Centre, Travelstart, Contiki and more could be right up your alley.

Travelstart
Travelstart’s Black Friday travel sale is running from 25 to 28 November 2022, offering discounts on flights, hotels, holidays and more.
All the deals are for travel in 2023 – so no December getaways – but that doesn’t mean you can’t get an early jump on a holiday next year.
The group is offering discounts of between 15% and 30% on local airline prices, with destination deals taking you to Amsterdam, London, Reunion, Bali, Madrid and more.
Local stays have discounts up to 60% off.

Flight Centre
Flight Centre is offering a host of holiday packages for Black Friday, both local and international.
The group lists tours of Cape Town, or a trip to Mauritius or Zanzibar among its specials, with prices starting from R1,550.
International packages – including flights – start at R11,990, with destinations such as Dubai, Phuket and Bali in the mix.

Contiki
If you’re more the adventurous sort, Contiki is having a Black Friday sale on a host of different tours, with the sale running through the end of November.
Travellers can use the sale to scratch off some trips from their bucket lists – whether touring Europe, or making their way through Thailand, Cambodia and Laos in an Asian journey.
If you’re only slightly adventurous, there are also exciting local tours available.

Club Med
Club Med is offering some great all-inclusive packages with up to R15,480 off per person across a wide range of destinations.
The deals are available up to 29 November 2022, but with limited quotas.
Destinations include Mauritius, the Maldives, Indonesia, Thailand, Seychelles, France, Turkey and many more.
A Club Med all-inclusive holiday includes gourmet cuisine, drinks and snacks, premium accommodation, kids clubs, sports and activities for the whole family.

Trafalgar
Travel group Trafalgar is offering big discounts on its international travel packages, which offer destinations like Italy, the UK, Spain, and Morocco.
There are also trips to the US and Canada and Oceania in the mix.
The cost base for international trips is quite high, but with R6,500 to R35,000 off the prices, booking over Black Friday will definitely help ease the pain.

Thompsons Holidays
Thompson’s Black Friday deals are packaging trips to the Kruger Park or stays at luxury resorts right here in South Africa.
International packages are destined for Mauritius or even Turkey.
Local travel is from the end of November into 2023, while international packages are for travel in the new year.
