8 new special-edition Audis launching in South Africa

Audi has announced that it will be launching several special-edition sedans and SUVs in 2024.

These will be rolled out progressively throughout the year, starting with the new A4 and S4 Black Editions, followed by both Black and Urban Editions for the A3, the Q2 crossover SUV, and the Q3 and Q5 SUVs.

The planned models are as follows, in no particular order:

  • A3 and S3 Black Edition
  • A3 Sportback 35TFSI Urban Edition
  • A4 and S4 Black Edition
  • A5 and S5 Black Edition
  • Q2 Black Edition
  • Q2 35 TFSI Urban Edition
  • Q3 SUV and Sportback Black Edition
  • Q5 SUV and Sportback Black Edition

lack Edition and Urban Edition models boast additional cosmetic and functional features, and will be available in the market from early 2024, along with compelling Audi Assured offers, said Audi.

Black Edition specifications

The Black Editions will include the Black Styling Package that features black accents on the grille, bumpers, mirror housings, window surrounds, and badging.

Additionally, the A4 will come equipped with tinted privacy glass, while the S Line exterior pack will include sportier bumpers, Matrix LED headlights, and unique 19-inch alloy wheels.

Interior Features will include:

  • A dark headliner;
  • Stainless steel foot pedals;
  • Electric Sports seats in fine Nappa leather with S embossing;
  • Illuminated scuff plates;
  • A glass sunroof;
  • A central touchscreen with navigation and Audi Connect;
  • A digital driver’s display;
  • Three-zone climate control;
  • A rear-view camera; and
  • A wireless charger.

For the pricier S4, the add-ons continue with a carbon rear spoiler, premium Bang&Olufsen sound system, and front Sports Seats Plus with diamond quilting, heating, massaging, and pneumatic lumbar support.

“In the case of the A4 Black Edition, the cost of this special-edition model is significantly lower were these items to be optioned individually,” said Audi.

The A3, A5, Q2, Q3, and Q5 Black Edition models are expected to have a stealthier appearance compared to their existing counterparts. Similarly, the Urban Edition is going to be presented as a separate option from the Black Edition.
