In this Let’s Talk AI interview, Michael Avery speaks to Amé Thwaits – Innovation and Digital Leader for EY Africa – about the advantages AI offers businesses.

Thwaits is a Registered Auditor and Chartered Accountant with extensive experience across the mining and financial industries.

This experience has allowed Thwaits to collaborate with multiple global innovation leaders, regulators, and professional bodies to use digital solutions to improve audit quality and effectiveness.

Before working with EY, Thwaits served as the Analytics Leader for Deloitte South Africa and as an Analytics Specialist for the Department of Professional Practice at KPMG.

In 2019, she also collaborated with SAICA to launch an analytics training programme designed for audit trainees.
